Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe hails from America and is a country-music singer/songwriter. The album Satisfied came out in 2007. She formed a Pistol Annies band with Angaleena Lambert and Miranda Lambert. Her second album, Like a Rose (2013) follows her previous album. Ashley Monroe Performing with Blake SheltonIn 2015 she came up With The Blade, another album which gained her acclaim and praise. Ashley Monroe holds a position as the Assistant Village Manager for Riverside Illinois. She has more than 15 years' experience within the public sector which includes nearly five year stints in Iowa City. As Assistant Village Manager, her current responsibilities include overseeing the Community Development and Building Department and completing projects. Ashley aids in the daily operation of Riverside services as well as implementing the elected officials' and community goals. Ashley's roles include municipal planning budgeting and management of personnel as well as collective bargaining. Ashley also focuses on climate initiatives. Ashley's participation in National organizations and involvement with diverse communities and populations has given her insight into the differences and similarities in the way different public institutions operate. Ashley's lectures focus on the present approach to management and leadership in public sector organizations, based on her experience as a practitioner. Ashley's emphasis on adjusting to changing circumstances and challenges as well as navigating intergovernmental and community relationships and taking ethical choices will provide a framework for aspiring professionals as well as those working within public organizations.
